Precision Grinding

The 40 mm conical burrs grind coffee at 3.5 to 5.5 grams per second. An adjustment mechanism ensures precise burr alignment and accurate grinding.

Coffee passes straight through the Baratza Sette grinder and drops into the grounds bin or portafilter. The machine features a macro/micro adjust for grind size with 31 macro adjustment options from espresso to manual brew and a step-less micro adjust with nine indicators to brew the perfect cup of espresso.

Optimal Brew

Thanks to a digital control panel with backlit LED display and three programmable buttons to set grind time, the Sette 270 grinds coffee exceptionally well whether you’re making espresso or a manual brew.

Ease of Use

The hopper on the Sette 270 holds about 10 ounces of coffee. The innovative bean shut-off feature means changing out beans requires no mess and no fuss.

A built-in convertible holder allows grinding directly into the portafilter, the grounds bin or add on devices like Able Knoe, AeroPress and Clever.

A molded spout makes it easier to pour grounds directly into the brewing device of choice.

Optional Add-Ons

A hopper extender adds 10 ounces of capacity to the existing 10-ounce bean hopper. It’s possible to add multiple extenders to multiply the capacity of the Baratza Sette 270 coffee grinder to meet your needs.

Great grinder, Excellent Service

"I ordered the grinder on line and it came in 1 day!"

— John M. (5/5)

No regrets

"When I first moved from a keurig to a V60, I bought a cheap $30 grinder that wasn’t very good. I soon realized I needed something better and got a $60 grinder from cuisinart, which worked pretty well. For my birthday I was given an espresso machine, and my old grinder just wasn’t cutting it. I did my research, and the sette 270 appeared to be the right grinder. I hesitated due to the cost, but eventually went through with it. I’m really glad I did, because this grinder is fantastic. My pour over tastes better, and my espresso is beyond my expectations."

Nice grinder, but very loud

"Beginner's espresso grinder - loud, stepless, effective. Suggest getting a billow kit for the hopper if using as single dose as some grind retention does happen - about 0.5 g. At 1/2 the price of Niche Zero it produces nearly similar results - expect to pay over $1k for a significant upgrade in performance."

— Dmitry M. (4/5)

Great so far!

"Grinds very uniformly and fast. I immediately noticed a significant improvement in the taste of my coffee over the old ceramic burr grinder I had been using for several years."

— Randal W. (5/5)

Almost perfect!

"This grinder is terrific but for the static electricity effect. Straight through grinding reduces waste to nothing; no purging required. Cleaning is a breeze, too. Enough grind options to satisfy most everyone. Wetting the beans, which I’d prefer not to do, eliminates the static when grinding directly into a portafilter (and a static free canister is included). Noise is in the ear of the beholder, and it’s not an issue for me, grinding for two."

— John P. (5/5)

This grinder makes espresso even better, much better!

"I resisted for years the advice to spend 40% of my total espresso equipment budget on a grinder. I thought what I settled for (Baratza Preciso) was really good enough. After reading more lately, I decided I might really prefer a finer and more consistent grind than the Preciso can produce. After 3 grinds with the new Sette 270, I know already that I have new pleasures to explore with espresso ground finely and without clumps. The texture on the tongue is much smoother, and the taste sparkles by comparison. I have a whole new vista to study with roasting profiles and grind settings! What else are mornings for?"

Great grinder

"A newbie at espresso.I was pleased to find the grinder available, as everywhere I checked was out of stock."
