Nice but quirky

"Sturdy. Heavy. Quality. Not sure why they wouldn’t make a removable bowl though. It’s 10x harder to clean out than it could be. Maybe even include washable metal inserts that clip to the top. The final gelato product is great. I wish they had better videos. Every video I watched so far doesn’t even show them tempering the eggs like it explains in the manual (lemon ice cream recipe in book). Tempering eggs is kind of standard chef stuff. Everything seems very robust though so I’m sure the return on investment will be good. Realize it does take a while to do the precooking and prep. Making your own isn’t time effective. But it’s fun."

"I’ve made 3 batches of homemade ice cream, and it was fabulous! Easy , quick, free of additives and preservatives, as fresh as fresh can get. And, the ice cream hardens. No issues with soft, runny ice cream. The custards are easy to make. I made a recipe from Ben and Jerry’s ice cream book, and the chocolate base was outstanding. The add-ins were easy to mix in as long as you do it 3-4 minutes before the ice cream hardens. Easy, easy cleanup. No complaints about noise. I’ll be making ALL of ice cream from now on. Definitely worth the investment!!"
