"After over 12 years of using the Elektra, i highly recommend it for real creamy Espresso at home."

Gorgeous and Easy to Use

"The Microcasa is gorgeous. It's obviously of high quality. It's simple to use. I pulled a decent shot on the first try when I had no practical knowledge about what I was doing. I had only read about pulling shots on the internet. The machine will do all that you need to make a good espresso. You just need to figure out your grind, tamp, and streaming the milk. The only criticism is the tamper that they included. Just buy a proper tamper."

A very nice machine - but not perfect

"I've had my Elektra for about 18 months. Daily, I pull 4 double shots of espresso and steam milk for lattes. It works very well and pulls excellent shots once the grind is dialed in. It did take me a bit to get the machine up to its full potential. As the machine arrived, it would not hold steam pressure. The water reservoir cap would bottom out before tightening down to seat the o-ring. It was probably just a fluke manufacturing thing, so I ground the bottom edges of the plastic knob to give clearance to the top of the boiler and let the cap fully screw in. Also, I found out the hard way that my temperature thermostat didn't work. One day I accidentally ran the water level too low, and the heating element overheated and shorted to ground. After buying a replacement heating element and thermostat, the machine wotks well. The machine is easy to work on, and the parts are available but they are not inexpensive. I also needed to adjust the pressure sensor, to dial down the pressure from a max of 2 as the machine arrived, to stay in the 1.0-1.25 range. That evened out water flow for nice consistent pulls. Finally, one needs a proper tamper to tamp the coffee for good pulls. And, I pull doubles at 18g - that meant buying aftermarket baskets with slightly more volume so that the coffee is not crammed against the water head. The tamper and better coffee baskets are additional purchases. The machine is beautiful and should last me forever. It makes wonderful espresso and I like the nostalgia of the lever pull. But it was not perfect out of the box."

Great Espresso and a Beautiful Machine

"I absolutely love my new Elektra. It looks like a piece of art sitting in my kitchen. I've found the machine to deliver a very consistent quality of espresso. It took me about 10 shots to get the grind / tamp right, but since then it has been very consistent. For reference, I'm using a Rancilio Rocky grinder set to a "6", with fresh beans (I roast at home using a Fresh Roast) One caution, this isn't the machine for parties / heavy espresso households. Works perfectly for me because I'm the only person in my house that drinks coffee."

Elektra S1C Micro Casa - a piece of art!

"Just received my new machine and it has been great for the first few brews. The chrome is sharp looking and I’m certain this will be a great pick for a lever machine! So far I couldn’t be more pleased with the brews."

— Steve T. (5/5)

Work of art

"It's like a work of art in our dining room and makes amazing espresso. A bit of a learning curve if you've never used a lever machine, but with all the YouTube videos and message boards, I was able to get the grinder dialed in and pulled an amazing shot of espresso."

— Tammie B. (5/5)

Excellent Machine - Excellent Service

"The Elektra S1C arrived in excellent condition and we are now enjoying it."

I Should Have Bought the Elektra S1C Micro Casa Lever Earlier!

"I am very happy with my recent purchase of the Elektra S1C Micro Casa Lever. I bought it together with a Rancilio Rocky doserless coffee grinder, and the two make excellent Espressos, Cortados, Cappuccions, and Lattes. The Elektra is a beautiful and incredibly functional machine. The espressos look gorgeous when they pour and taste great. You can influence the group head temperature by either flushing it with hot water before filling in the espresso, or by rinsing it in cold water. I have to adapt the grinding and group head temperature quite a bit as beans age from between a day to 10 days after roasting. Not a big deal, but without adjustments I get sometimes a somewhat burned or bitter taste. The steamer is super-strong. It warms up 8 ounce in a few seconds. I am starting to get better and better microfoam putting the pitcher into the freezer before using it and letting the milk cool down a bit before frothing. With the free shipping included in the purchase, the machine shipped with UPS ground, but it took only a few days to arrive. Overall, I can highly recommend the machine."

I love this machine, I

"I love this machine, I now have 2 of these. Its the only lever style machine I've ever used so I can't compare it to anything else, but it makes a great cup of coffee."
