"Love coffee; have a few variety of pots from Cuisinart, Breville, Mr. Coffee, Bosch, Capresso. All have gone by-the-wayside for my Capressos. This is my 2nd 'a la Carte' pot (one NJ; one FL). Coffee is quick (under 3 mins for full pot) and it's HOT; full coffee aroma taste as well. Easy clean-up; coffee grinds are compressed which allows quick disposal of grinds."

Best Coffee Maker

"I've owned a Keurig coffee maker for years, loved it in the beginning for its convenience, but have been disappointed with the strength of the coffee. The cost of the pods can be expensive over time and I couldn't make a pot of coffee for my guests. Another point, the coffee isn't as hot as it should be and doesn't stay hot long enough and I've had to warm it quite often. I tried to hold on to it, even though it leaked on my counter and I set it over my sink to drip, until it finally died. So, after much research, reading numerous reviews including those on Consumer Reports, I purchased the Caprese coffee maker several weeks ago and can't be happier. It makes delicious coffee be it small, large and carafe in size. It also has a tea setting as well and whats extremely great is you can forget about all of those filters that you have to purchase, this coffee maker includes two filter baskets, one for coffee and one for tea. It's slim enough to fit on a smaller counter, I can't say more about it. You won't be disappointed!"

"I must say i am extremely satisfied with the coffee a la carte! As of now this model has been replaced with Capresso triple brew, but i believe there are only cosmetic differences between them. This machine is exactly what i was looking for, a single cup brewer that would brew at the correct temperature and allow me to use my own freshly ground beans. The design of the brewing system is excellent, the permanent filter and brew head design keeps the shower head in contact with the grounds no matter whether you make a single 4oz cup or a full carafe. my only complaint is the maximum of 60g of ground, when brewing a carafe you can not adjust the amount brewed, you can only brew a full 42oz carafe. 60g of grounds can be a little light for the full carafe. but that is really my only complaint with the brewer. extraction is excellent and very consistent. the permanent filter is very easy to clean as well. i have yet to brew any tea with the tea filter but im sure it too would be very effective with its consistent brewing temperature."

I find that if you have a big coffee mug though, you have to hit large first, when that is done, hit small and it will fill your larger mug perfectly. I couldn't be anymore pleased with this item. Awesome!"
