Bodum

Bodum

When Bodum took over a small clarinet factory in Normandy in 1982, it was not because of the fine orchestra clarinets they were producing, but because of a relatively unknown Bodum coffee maker called the Chambord coffee press which they produced as well. Bodum French press coffee makers combined the skills of Normandy craftsmen with a modern production and soon the price of this unique coffee maker, later known as the French press coffee brewer, became affordable. The design of Bodum coffee presses has not changed a bit from the original drawings, and Bodum still makes the Chambord with the same painstaking care and knowledge they learned from those proud craftsmen in windy Normandy. Thanks to Bodum and thanks to the increasing need for better coffee, the French press coffee maker has become one of the most popular coffee makers in the world. The ease of brewing, the delicious smell and taste of French roasted dark coffee, and the simplicity of the method have not changed, but the value a Bodum coffee maker offers you today is no longer the price of the past.

The French Press method of coffee preparation is an easy way to prepare rich, full bodied coffee. Because French press coffee is unfiltered the entire range of flavors from the coffee bean will end up in your cup. The aroma of French press coffee is typically incredibly rich and poignant, a much fuller fragrance than you will experience with a drip coffee machine. Not to mention that taste is infinitely better! After all this, you will also find that the French press Bodum coffee maker is very easy to clean. Rinse out the grinds and you’re done!
