Well made, quiet and designed well. It adjusts easily for different grinds (makes me especially happy since I drink both French Press and drip brewed coffee). The cleaning can be pain, but I have found the following helps clean the machine faster and more efficiently. I disassemble the unit for cleaning and use the brush to loosen all the dust around the burr and inside the chute and the area where the collection cup is located. I then take a corded hand held vacuum, which I have small computer type hose and nozzle accessories and vacuum up the loose coffee dust. I then wipe all areas I can reach clean with a damp cloth. You could probably use a Dustbuster but it is would not be as efficient as using small brushes and small directed areas of suction which the hand held vacuum accessory kit provides.
By the way customer service is great. I had a small issue and they were courteous and responsive and ready to honor the warranty if the issue couldn't be resolved. I would highly recommend this company. I think so much of it, I bought my folks one and they love it also.
Heavy duty, quiet, and dependable from grind to grind. I can grind a two pound bag in less than five minutes, clean up and have it put away in less than 10 min. I love this grinder
Thought long and hard before buying. But very glad I got this machine from 1st in Coffee. The process was quick and easy and the product was shipped right away. Arrived before I expected it would. I recommend them to anyone. The machine itself is a good compromise for those wanting a solid, well made and quiet operating machine for a reasonable price. (and these folks have the best price I could find!). The grind variations should allow any one to find the setting they need. It grinds quietly, quickly and effectively. Agree with others that cleaning the machine could be easier but its only a minor issue to me. So if you want a grinder for under $200. you should seriously consider this one from these folks.
The Capresso Metal Burr grinder works very well for me. I grind about a pound at a time and cold brew my coffee. Some complaints about it being hard to clean seem justified if you feel the need to clean it of the residual teaspoon of ground coffee after every grinding (daily?). Since I only use it about once every two weeks, it isn't a chore. It is very heavy and seems well built. The grinders turn slowly so there's negligible heating of the beans during this process and it's quieter then my old Braun.. The grinder capacity is large so it takes only a few minutes to grind a pound. My only complaints would relate to some difficulty storing the cord back into the machine base after use (not a problem if you leave it out) and some mess during the grind with static and stray grounds, both minor issues. I'm happy with the machine and hope it lasts for the next 20-years. I searched the Internet for several days after deciding on the Capresso and 1st in Coffee had the best price!
Excellent product and excellent. Very good experience with this vendor. After much research to choose the best economical grinder I know I made the right choice.
I have been using this grinder for 4 years and it works perfectly.
Bought my first Metal Infinity Conical Burr Coffee Grinder 5 years ago, it still looks great and grinds my beans perfectly several times daily. Love the grinder so much that I just bought my second one for my vacation home. Only problem I have with my old grinder is that ?the plastic lid cracked when it accidentally fell on the floor
Just like the others have written, the grinder is a great value. The machine delivers consistent grinds every time.
I had been using a blade grinder for years . When my Capresso infnity burr grinder arrived I was very pleased with the appearance, very handsome, much nicer than picture. The price and product can't be beat, and 1st in Coffee was Great to deal with. I made a good decision when I ordered from "1st in Coffee"
I've been using the hario skerton hand grinder for awhile and this capresso grinder makes an awesome difference! I don't mind the hand cranking of the hario, but the grind consistency is nowhere near that of the capresso. I would totally recommend this grinder to anyone seeking an excellent grind quality at an affordable price. By the way, this is THE BEST price on the internet (I looked and looked). Go for it!
I have used this grinder daily for drip and espresso brews for nearly 4 years and it just keeps on working. Given the use of a pound of coiffee per week, this thing has ground a lot of coffee with no repairs or other isssues. It delivers a fine grind that has worked well for my espresso. The Roycky yields a more uniform grind I am told but I have not had a problem. Given the price its a great value. I gave one to my son who has when his grinder died and he loves the product.
I am a very satisfied customer of 1st In Coffee, I am happy with my grinder & they sent a free bag of coffee with it too!
