From Italy, the home of espresso, the Pasquini Livia G4 comes as one of three new Pasquini espresso machines. Pasquini has been in the business of espresso for over fifty years, and the Livia series of machines began their life as high-end home machines with the Livia 90. Now, some ten years later, Pasquini builds on the Pasquini espresso machine tradition with three new machines based on that legendary Livia 90. The “Pasquini Livia G4” line is not just a simple update, but three redesigned machines to supply the discerning home user with quality equipment, designed for many years of dependable service.

Pasquini takes their ten years of experience with their venerable “Livia 90” and brings you the new “Pasquini Livia G4.” This semi-automatic Pasquini espresso machine is everything that the Livia 90 was, and a lot more!

The Pasquini Livia G4 Semi-Automatic packs a lot of features in a small space.

Heat-Exchanger Boiler – The boiler uses a heat-exchanger system to allow simultaneous brewing of espresso and steaming of milk. No more waiting for steam pressure to build to make a cappuccino or latte! The Pasquini espresso machine's boiler is nickel plated for longer life, to help reduce scaling from minerals in the water, and to make descaling easier and more effective.

Active Grouphead Heating – Pasquini has placed a separate heating element with its own thermostat in the group itself. This means that the brew water will not lose heat on its way to the portafilter transferring its heat to the colder metal of the group as will happen in some other machines.

Vibratory Pump – The 41 watt vibration pump with brass output fitting (not plastic as found on some machines) easily produces the 9 bar (135psi) pressure required to properly extract espresso.

Redesigned Case – The Pasquini espresso machine's new case is stainless steel, a classic espresso machine material, and it features larger cup warmers than the previous model. Yes, warmers! There are two areas on the Pasquini Livia G4 to place cups for warming; one on the front panel and one on top of the body. Pre-warming cups keeps the espresso hot longer, and the warming areas make a nice place to store and show off your drink ware.

Front Panel with Dual-Function Gauge – Boiler pressure and brew pressure is shown in one gauge, easily seen on the front of the machine. This allows you to judge the temperature of the water in the boiler as well as the force at which the water is being delivered to the coffee in the portafilter during the brewing process.

Dual Indicator lamps – Next to the power switch there are two indicator lamps. The top one indicates that the power switch is in the “on” position. The bottom lamp illuminates when power is being sent to the heating element. At a glance you will know the state of the machine.

Commercial-Size Portafilter – The 58mm portafilter on this Pasquini espresso machine is the proven size for the best espresso. Virtually all commercial machines use this size portafiler basket.

Joystick Steam and Hot Water Valves – The steam and hot water valves are easy to operate on the Pasquini Livia G4. The steam and hot water flow can be regulated by the position of the lever, or can be held open by moving either lever to its extreme position on this Pasquini Espresso Machine. This makes it unnecessary to hold the valve during the steaming process, and yet allows quick closing of the valve when you feel the milk is textured to its best.

Multi-Directional, Insulated Steam Wand – Positioning the steam wand to best suit your pitcher and steaming technique is easy. The steam wand also features internal insulation to help keep the exterior of the wand cool to help avoid the potential for burns and to help avoid having to clean baked-on milk from the steam wand.

Automatic Boiler Refilling – To add to the features of the Pasquini Livia G4 Semi-Automatic espresso machine, the internal sensor in the boiler keeps the water at the optimal height for temperature control as well as steam production. One less thing to worry about.

Relocated Electronic Control Box – The electronics have been relocated as low as possible inside the case where the coolest air exists. This protects the “brain box” of the Pasquini espresso machine from the heat of the boiler.

Simple brewing – Push the large brew button on the front panel to begin brewing espresso and push it again to stop.

Temperature Safety Switch – A user-resettable safety switch turns off the heating elements if overheating of the boiler occurs. The thermostat is located on the bottom of the boiler, and Pasquini has added an access panel making it easy to check and reset the thermostat if it ever becomes necessary to do so.

Large Water Reservoir – The internal, 92 ounce reservoir sits on a platform that judges the water level by weight to safeguard the boiler. This eliminates less-dependable in-tank, electronic water level sensors.
